Whew. This one took a while. :D

It's Frederic Chopin from the new Xbox360 game, Eternal Sonata. The game itself is about Chopin, and his final hours on his death bed. It was said that while Chopin dreamed, he imagined a fairy-tale like place where people and all creatures were magical.

I recommend that if you haven't played this game? Do it now! It's so much fun, and the graphics are stunning. Chopin is by far my favorite, his demeanor is perfect; his attire is stylish, and I think his voice is played by Liam O'Brien ( Lezard Valeth, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria ) :XD: :XD: :XD:

About the piece.. I tried as best as I could to make the texturing of Chopin's face as close to the games' as possible. Eternal Sonata features breathtaking cell shading for its cinematic scenes and game play, and I wanted to see if I could do that! :nod:

The colors blended well on the artwork, and the background rendered nicely with the array of ES images I used to create the backdrop. I'm not REAL happy with the shading or the shape of his face, it's a little off to me.. but there always seems to be something with me that I'm dissatisfied with in the end.

Anyway, I do overall like this piece and I hope you do too!
I felt the game deserved some art here on my DA page. :dance:




Frederic Chopin is master of piano and musical expression, but he in this form and the backdrop images all belong to Namco/Bandai.

( There's even an Eternal Sonata banner ad on this page, for now! :XD: )

It is awesome! One of the reasons I picked up a 360, aside from Blue Dragon. :D :D :D

Looks like a cool game there! Nice picture, I loved how you designed Chopin's face there! :excited: Very nice job!

I'm in the pinball/Atari generation there! :roll: Boy the graphics certainly has changed since the days of Atari, eh? And we thought back then that Atari was great!!

No kidding! I was blown away the second I turned on my Xbox. Even the steps between the 360 and the Playstation 2 is a big jump! The Wii is great too, but with games like Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata it can't compare. :D

But.. I still own both. :laughing: ;P

Just a little, but I do that all the time. :XD:

As for music, my favorites are Rammstein and The Beatles. Polar opposites of one another! Others I like a lot of are musicians like Rob Zombie, Megadeth, Metallica, and Fleetwood Mac. My taste is kind of all over the place! I have over 2,000 music files on my computer and just about every catagory is filled with a good 300 MB of tunes. I love country music too, but I grew up and live in Wisconsin and that's big here. But the newer country music doesn't thrill me as much as say the nineties did. :dance:

All in all, I like a lot of everything!

Except Rap. ;P I can't stand that. :laughing:

i'm not a big fan of country, but i hate rap too!
its just...annoyting!!
my favorite bands are either Boys like girls, My chemical romance, and it varies from there :XD:
i love all sorts of music too!
on my mp3 player, its a huge mix
linkin park is ok, and so is metallica
